Names Advocate for Ag Education
 |
| Syngenta,
as the new sponsor of the NAAE Outstanding Ag Ed Teacher Awards
and the Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program Awards, took
the agricultural education profession to a new level by naming one
of the national Outstanding Teacher award recipients as the Syngenta
Advocate for Agricultural Education. The 2002 honoree was Jodi Geiger,
agriculture teacher at Pine Ridge High School in Deltona, Florida.
The award was
presented by Bob Woods, President of Syngenta North America. Jodi
will represent Syngenta as a national spokesperson for agricultural
education and the agriculture industry. Her award package includes
travel to Syngenta’s international headquarters in Switzerland.
