2009 Delmar Cengage Learning - NAAE Upper Division Scholarship

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Delmar Cengage Learning and proceeds from the ticket raffle at the NAAE convention, NAAE will award scholarships to students who are majoring in ag ed and who will be completing their student teaching in the fall 2009 or spring 2010 semesters. Fifteen scholarships of $750.00 each will be awarded. Previous recipients of the NAAE Upper Division Scholarship are not eligible.

2009 NAAE Main Awards Application

This one application is to be used for the following award programs:

  • Outstanding Young Member Award
    (sponsored by John Deere)
  • Outstanding Ag Ed Teacher Award
    (sponsored by Toyota)
  • Outstanding Middle/Secondary School Ag Ed Program Award
    (sponsored by the National FFA Alumni Association)
  • Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program Award
    (sponsored by Toyota)

These award programs are sponsored as special projects of the National FFA Foundation.

Changes in award incentives for 2009:
For the Outstanding Young Member, Outstanding Ag Ed Teacher, Outstanding Middle/Secondary Program, Outstanding Postsecondary/Adult Ag Ed Program Awards, the award program incentives are now the following: one hotel room for four nights, one airfare (or mileage, whichever is cheaper), and one registration fee. The $150 cash prize and spouse/guest airfare are eliminated from the award package. Spouses, guests, or co-teachers are welcome to attend the convention and may share the award winner's room, but their travel expenses and registration fees will not be covered by NAAE.

2009 NAAE "Teachers Turn the Key" Scholarship Application

This is the seventh year of this award program sponsored by Dodge, as a special project of the National FFA Foundation. Each state's Teachers Turn the Key honoree will receive a scholarship for the actual costs of convention registration, four (4) nights hotel, and airfare or mileage (whichever is less), to attend the entire 2009 NAAE Convention held November 17-21 in Nashville, TN. Each state ag ed association will select their respective honoree. There will be no evaluation of the applications above the state level. Special programming will be scheduled during the convention for these early career teachers.

2009 NAAE Teacher Mentor Award Application

This is the fifth year of this award program sponsored by CEV Multimedia. The six national winners will receive a plaque, a $400 travel stipend, and complimentary registration fee to attend the 2009 NAAE Convention, November 17-21 in Nashville, TN.

2009 NAAE Ideas Unlimited Award Application

The six national winners will receive a plaque and a $400 travel stipend to attend the 2009 NAAE Convention held November 17-21 in Nashville, TN. This awards program is sponsored by Delmar Cengage Learning.

NAAE will recognize current and retired NAAE members who have made significant contributions to agricultural education at the state, regional, and national levels with the Outstanding Service Citation.

2009 NAAE Lifetime Achievement Award Application
(formerly the Honorary Life Membership Award)

NAAE will recognize retired NAAE members who have made significant contributions to agricultural education at the state, regional, and national levels with Lifetime Achievement Award. This award was formerly known as the Honorary Life Membership Award. The award program name change occurred in 2002.

One recipient from each of the six NAAE regions will be recognized with a plaque at the 2009 NAAE Convention in Nashville, TN, November 17-21.

State winning applications should be brought to the respective NAAE Regional Leadership Conference for judging.

2009 NAAE Professional State Association Award Application

NAAE will recognize state associations who have aggressively engaged in certain well-planned activities designed to serve the best interest of the members and the profession.

Professional State Association award winners will be recognized at the 2009 NAAE Convention in Nashville, TN, November 17-21.

State applications should be sent to their respective NAAE Regional Vice President postmarked no later than September 1, 2009.
