Focus: “National FFA Foundation – Planned Revisions to Structure and Governance”
Next month the FFA Foundation Board of Trustees will determine the future structure of the Foundation which will impact its connectivity to FFA and Agricultural Education. Many have seen the presentation “National FFA Foundation – Planned Revisions to Structure and Governance” over the past several months.
Are we ready for major decisions that may have long term impact on FFA, the Foundation and Agricultural Education? Have those of us not on the Board done our homework, thought deeply about this topic and have we expressed our views to the members of the FFA Board of Trustees? Have we thought about real or perceived conflicts of interests, financial management of the Foundation, the Foundation relationship to FFA, executive leadership of the Foundation and board representation and roles?
Now is the time to focus on the FFA Foundation Board structure, its connectivity to FFA and its impact on all of agricultural education. For more information and/or to express your views, contact Drs. Case and Brown, Joel Larsen, Chair of the Foundation Governance Committee and the FFA Board of Trustees. They need to hear your thoughts, concerns and/or support. (The FFA Board of Trustees is listed at the bottom of this web link.) http://www.ffa.org/index.cfm?method=c_about.board

A New Look for AgrowKnowledge
If you haven’t noticed by now, things look a little different on the AgrowKnowledge website. We have recently re-designed our website, to make things flow a little smoother and make things easier to find. As we move forward with these changes to our website, please note that some functions of our website are being overhauled, so they may not work correctly! We are working on getting these taken care of as soon as possible and should have everything back to perfection in the next few weeks. If you have any questions, or suggestions, feel free to drop us a line at agknow@agrowknow.org |
