Along with the ACTE CareerTech Vision, NAAE has made the decision to go virtual for the 2020 NAAE Convention. This was a very difficult decision however the health and safety of our members is of the utmost importance to our association. As we continue to plan, more information will be released and we will update the ag ed community. Only during the annual NAAE Convention will you find professional development that will transform your agriculture classroom. Over 60 innovative learning sessions presented by agricultural educators for agricultural educators will invigorate you and improve student success.
Held in conjunction with ACTE's CareerTech VISION, NAAE members have access to both conventions. The NAAE Convention schedule aligns with the VISION schedule, so that our members have the opportuntity to experience both conventions for one price. The 2020 NAAE Virtual Convention Program is now available. You can download it as single pages or booklet style.
We have provided a Letter of Support that you can fill out and give to your Administration. The Letter will provide details about the convention and why you should attend. Download the document here.
NAAE is incorporated in the state of California. Corporate regulations in California require those who attend virtual corporate annual meetings to sign a notice to agree to attend the annual meeting virtually. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 NAAE Convention and annual business meeting will be conducted virtually. The notice for the virtual 2020 NAAE Convention and annual business meeting is included below and in this Survey Gizmo link. If you will be participating in the 2020 NAAE Convention and annual business meeting, please open the Survey Gizmo link, read the notice, and complete the form to indicate your consent to participate in the 2020 NAAE Convention and annual business meeting virtually. Everyone who participates in the 2020 NAAE Convention and annual business meeting must consent to the virtual meeting either via this Survey Gizmo link or via the convention registration portal. Dear NAAE Member:
This message is to inform you that, due to COVID-19, the National Association of Agricultural Educators, Inc. will be holding its 2020 NAAE Convention and annual member business meeting virtually via AMP Event Group Virtual Conference Platform and Zoom, November 30 through December 4, 2020. The annual business meeting will be held on December 4, 2020. Items to be acted upon at this annual business meeting include the election of new directors and officers of the NAAE.
Virtual attendance will still provide every opportunity to participate and to vote in real time on all matters, including the opportunity to hear the proceedings of the meeting concurrently with those proceedings, as if you attended the meeting in person. Records will be maintained of all votes or actions that take place and such records will be available to all members upon request.
If you decide to attend virtually, please follow the link at the bottom of this message and confirm your consent to virtual attendance. Via email, we will provide a link for all virtual meeting registrants and delegates to participate fully in the convention, including the annual business meeting.
Pursuant to the California Corporations Code, absent your consent, or at your preference, you will be able to attend the meeting physically in a hotel meeting room located near our headquarters at One Paragon Centre, 2525 Harrodsburg Road, Suite 200, Lexington, Kentucky 40504. The hotel facility will allow only for on-line participation in the meeting since the meeting leadership and participants will be located throughout the United States during the annual business meeting. This said, we strongly recommend virtual attendance due to the risks involved with gatherings of large groups of people at this time due to COVID-19.
At any time after you provide your consent to attend the member meeting virtually, you may revoke your consent by emailing Dr. Wm. Jay Jackman, NAAE Executive Director, at JJackman.NAAE@uky.edu.
