In 1965, the New Farmers of America (NFA) and the National FFA Organization became one. Attend this session offered by Dr. Antoine Alston, Associate Dean and Professor at North Carolina A&T University and Dr. Dexter Wakefield, Associate Dean at Alcorn University to learn more about the New Farmers of America, the events that led to the New Farmers of America and National FFA becoming one, the implications of the organizations becoming one, and how we can teach current and future FFA members about the NFA.

Come explore the role of vet techs and how they protect animal’s health through conducting basic urinalysis tests. This simple activity walks your students through a hands-on simulation of five common procedures. A great activity that can be used to enhance your vet science course and CDE.

The NAAE My Local Cooperative modules offer a start to finish opportunity for you to engage students in agriculture cooperatives career pathways, the benefits of agriculture cooperatives and the importance of agriculture cooperatives in agriculture. Educators who attend this session will get a small preview of the modules and be eligible for My Local Cooperative field trip and supply grants.
