Washington Beat:Now is the Time to Save Perkins Funding!


capitalOn Friday, September 9, the House Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee is scheduled to mark up its funding bill for Fiscal Year 2012. During this mark up, subcommittee members will be allocating funding to specific federal programs, including those programs authorized under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act. Considering Running for NAAE Regional Vice President or Secretary?

 

Thinking about Running for NAAE Regional Vice President or Secretary? If you want to run for a position on the NAAE board, you MUST submit a completed Memorandum of Understanding to NAAE by September 15th.

NAAE Regional Secretary elections occur in all six NAAE regions each year, and this year Regions III and V will be electing Regional Vice Presidents.

Kimberley Lough was looking to develop a lesson for her students at Lincoln Middle School in Bradenton, Florida that would provide students with a school-based Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) that extended from the farm to the table and met the Florida middle school agriscience curriculum standards when she discovered vermicomposting (composting utilizing worms).
