Dr. Robin McLean
Robin teaches agriculture at Northern Burlington County Regional Middle School in Columbus, NJ. In addition to her experience as a middle school teacher, she has also taught high school agriculture and worked as the New Jersey FFA Specialist. She’s getting back into NAAE regional leadership after a 17 year hiatus.
A National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) certified teacher, Robin is also certified to teach Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) courses, and is a Teach Ag Mentor. In 2013 she was the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE) Teacher of the Year. In addition to her role as a teacher and FFA advisor, Robin serves as one of Northern Burlington’s Facilitators of Instructional Technology, a teachers association representative, and on the school’s communications committee.
"I believe that the energy, eagerness and steadfastness needed by my students for their success begins with my personal love of my subject, my classroom, and my profession as evidenced by my personal investment of time, industry and talent," said McLean.
Robin has been involved in service to NAAE through serving as Communities of Practice facilitator and as a Region VI representative to the Professional Growth Committee. She has served as the New Jersey Association of Agricultural Educators Secretary and Vice-President, and is currently their CTEA-NJ liasson. Her belief that agricultural education is a component of career and technical education led to her current involvement as an ACTE Educator’s in Action Blog contributor and recent service as ACTE/NBPTS Advisory Group Co-Chair.
