What is National Teacher Appreciation Week?

National Teacher Appreciation Week is a week-long celebration to recognize teachers and the contributions they make to education, our schools, and our local communities. Teacher Appreciation Week is held the first full week of May every year, and provides an opportunity for students, their parents, school principals, and community members to show their appreciation and thanks for the amazing work that teachers do every single day.

This week, we're celebrating the more 13,000 agricultural educators across the United States who are cultivating the next generation of problem solvers, leaders, entreprenuers, and agriculturalists.

How can I show my appreciation for an agricultural educator?

There are numerous ways to celebrate and show appreciation for an agricultural educator(s) in your life!

  • Send them a thank you note! You can download this printable thank you card (available in full color or in black and white), or use our digital fillable thank you card. We recommend printing the card on cardstock if possible.

  • Present them with a Certificate of Appreciation. This digital fillable certificate of appreciation makes it easy to print a professional looking document on an 8.5x11" sheet of paper.

  • Send them an email! Consider sending a special agricultural educator in your life a positive email to make their day and to show your appreciation. You may consider copying their principal on the email as well.

  • Send them something special. Let the creative juices flow! Consider making your teacher's day by giving them something unique, handmade, or personal. other gift ideas could include a giftcard to their favorite restaurant or store, or even fresh flowers. The possibilities are endless!
