Proposed Bylaw Amendments
State delegates will vote on three proposed amendments to the National Association of Agricultural Educators Bylaws. For more details on each proposed amendment, please see the Bylaws Amendment packet.

  • Amendment #1 - Association Officers: The purpose of this amendment is to identify the immediate past president as an officer of the organization.
  • Amendment #2 - Presidential Terms: The purpose of this amendment is to codify the practice of electing a President-Elect to serve a three-year term, including one year as president-elect, one year as president, and one year as past president. This amendment removes the requirement of electing a President on an annual basis and provides a mechanism for automatic succession.
  • Amendment #3 - Process for election of President-Elect: The purpose of this amendment is to codify the practice of electing a President-Elect. It simplifies and clarifies language for only nominating and electing a president-elect.

NAAE Membership Dues Increase Proposal

If approved by state delegates at the 2025 NAAE Convention, a $25 membership dues increase would go into effect for the 2026-2027 membership year. Please note that this does not require a change to the NAAE Bylaws, as our bylaws outline a procedure for how NAAE can increase its yearly membership dues. To learn more about the need for this dues increase, please see the NAAE Membership Dues Increase Proposal Infographic attached below, as well as the Proposed Dues Letter to State Leaders from Marty Jones, NAAE Finance Review Committee Chair.
