National #TeachAg Day - September 17, 2026

Join us for the NAAE #TeachAg Breakout 2.0 Challenge!

NAAE is excited to announce that we will host a #TeachAg Breakout 2.0 Challenge. This all new interactive challenge for your students will explore the unique skills needed to be an agricultural educator, discover why they may want to be an ag teacher, and compete with other students and programs from across the United States. If you participated with your students last year, you should have received an email to request a refresh kit in order to compete with this all new challenge this year. The challenge will take place on National #TeachAg Day, which is Thursday, September 17, 2026.

If you missed out last year, this is your chance! If you are new to the challenge, click the link below to get reminders and step-by-step directions on how to sign up and register your students as well as run your in-class Breakout of Ordinary 2.0 Challenge.

It Starts in the Classroom

It Starts in the Classroom is a short documentary from NAAE about becoming a high school agriculture teacher. On National #TeachAg Day, we encourage you to share the journey of Brandon Bixler and Whitney Evans, two pre-service agricultural education majors working toward becoming high school agriculture teachers. This 20-minute film is a great way to get your students interested in the career of agricultural education. Visit our It Starts in the Classroom webpage to download the documentary and related resources.

Thank you to the CHS Foundation for making NAAE's teacher recruitment and retention initiatives possible.
