The information below includes important details about participation in this event. You will be asked to acknowledge that you have read and understand this information when completing registration.

The National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE) is excited to provide this interactive experience during the National FFA Convention & Expo. The #TeachAg Escape Room is designed to give students a fun, hands-on opportunity to explore agricultural education, work as a team, solve challenges, and picture themselves as future agricultural educators.

What to Expect

Participants will work individually and/or as part of a team to complete a series of puzzles, activities, and challenges within a designated space. Activities may require participants to move throughout the space, handle props or materials, bend, reach, stand, communicate with teammates, and complete tasks within a limited amount of time. Individuals needing accommodations should note on those on the registration page. 

Participants are expected to:

• Follow all instructions provided by NAAE staff, volunteers, and event personnel.
• Use all props, equipment, and materials only as instructed.
• Walk at all times and avoid running, pushing, climbing, horseplay, or unsafe behavior.
• Respect other participants and their personal space.
• Immediately notify NAAE staff or volunteers of any unsafe condition, damaged item, injury, illness, or concern.
• Stop participating and notify an NAAE representative if they feel uncomfortable or believe they cannot safely complete an activity.
• The #TeachAg Escape Room is an activity space—not a physically locked room. Participants may leave the experience at any time if necessary.

NAAE reserves the right to stop an activity or remove a participant from the experience if behavior creates a safety concern for the participant or others.

Acknowledgment of Risk

Participation in the NAAE #TeachAg Escape Room is voluntary. While NAAE has designed the experience with participant safety in mind, participation in any interactive activity involves potential risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, slips, trips, falls, collisions with objects or other participants, minor cuts or bruises, strains or sprains, reactions to the environment or materials, and other injuries that may occur while moving through or participating in the activities.

By participating, I acknowledge that I understand the nature of the activity and that not all risks can be anticipated or eliminated. As the ag teacher and adult chaperone, I voluntarily choose for my students to participate and knowingly assume the ordinary and inherent risks associated with the NAAE #TeachAg Escape Room.
