NAAE #TeachAg Escape

You can register as many groups of 5 or 6 students as you’d like. There will be four #TeachAg Escape experiences running simultaneously, so if all four slots are open for that time, you can register all your groups to participate at the same time. Time slots are first come, first served.

There are two options for groups of four or fewer students to participate in #TeachAg Escape at National FFA Convention.

1. Come to the #TeachAg Escape in person. We will combine your students with any groups that have fewer than 6 to allow them to participate. Think of it like a single-rider line at an amusement park. You may have to wait, depending on the currently scheduled groups.
2. Find friends! Students do not have to be from the same school to participate in #TeachAg Escape as a team. It’s a team activity, but each student will have their own reflection experience.

In order to accommodate as many students as possible, teachers are not allowed to participate in #TeachAg Escape.

Although you can pre-register to participate in the #TeachAg Escape, you don’t have to. If you know your availability a few hours ahead and want to reserve your spot, check the schedule and register online. Or simply come to the #TeachAg Escape. If we have open spots, we'll combine groups or do anything else we can to get you in.

You received an email when you registered your students plus several emails leading up to the activity. All had cancellation and reschedule buttons. Please use those to update your availability.

#TeachAg Escape is designed for High School students. This activity is going to be extremely difficult, and potentially frustrating for middle school students to complete. At its core, it is designed to encourage students to reflect about why the career of agricultural education might be good for them. Sixth, 7th and 8th graders may not be ready for this kind of self-examination.

This activity is for a group of 5 to 6 students. For safety reasons, we can not accommodate more than 6 students in one group. If you arrive with fewer than 5 students, they may be combined with other students to make a group of at least 5.

Participants will work individually and/or as part of a team to complete a series of puzzles, activities, and challenges within a designated space. Activities may require participants to move throughout the space, handle props or materials, bend, reach, stand, communicate with teammates, and complete tasks within a limited amount of time.

Some level of mobility is required for this activity by at least one student in the group. The activity includes bending, kneeling, reaching for objects, audio, reading, math. Potential hazards include magnets, tripping, enclosed spaces.

There is space on the registration form to let us know about any accommodations your students may need to participate in #TeachAg Escape. If you have already registered and need to let us know about an accommodation you did not note at the time, please email admin@teachagescape.org.
